Web Projects Manager

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Web Projects Manager oversees the allocation of staff resources to all web related activities such as redesigns, new pages and sections, and virtual exhibits consistent with the Museum's high standards of quality to ensure clients' expectations are met and balanced with best practices. This role works collaboratively with the institutional stakeholders and project teams to effectively prioritize and schedule web content so that workflow and project requirements are met in a timely and efficient way.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 1200+ web pages
  • 4 million web visits annually
  • 15+ unique websites
  • Facilitating and coordinating content contributions from 20+ staff members


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.


REPORTS TO:

Director of Digital & Interactive Media


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post high school course work, technical degree, associate's degree, business or vocational certificate
  • 2 or more years of web project and content management experience
  • Experience managing technical projects
  • Working knowledge of common content management system workflows
  • Demonstrated communications skills when dealing with nontechnical internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to convey project requirements, timelines, and deliverables in writing, verbally, and graphically
  • Understanding of web technologies and limitations
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle including requirements collection, design, QA, implementation, and maintenance


STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). Commensurate with experience.
