Service Desk Technology Analyst

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Provide "hands-on" user support for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of personal productivity systems used internally within the museum. Resolve hardware/software conflicts as well as basic network troubleshooting. Handle user support questions regarding various software programs. Provide maintenance and support of the technology infrastructure and development and occasionally develop new solutions through project work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 20+ work orders per week
  • Manage and support 800+ devices and 500+ employees and volunteers throughout the Museum

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40hrs/wk, Sunday- Thursday from 9:00am-5:00pm


REPORTS TO:

Manager, System Support Services


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post high school course work, technical degree, associate's degree, business or vocational certificate.
  • 1 or more years of experience in information system or technology or other related field.
  • Be a Windows certified technician (MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician) or hold A+ certification
  • Basic domain network administration ability with Microsoft Active Directory and other domain network applications
  • Experience using and maintaining endpoint management and remote troubleshooting tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Apple operating systems (OS X), hardware and general computer operation.
  • Demonstrated customer service/support experience.
  • Demonstrated listening and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook and Office productivity tools.
  • Experience with work order tracking systems.


STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly).
