Hall of Human Life Program Assistant

The Hall of Human Life (HHL) Program Assistant will present and facilitate a variety of hands-on activities/interpretations for small and large groups, and will assist HHL staff in the training of HHL educators. The Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting HHL staff in opening, closing, and/or ongoing daily maintenance of the HHL space, including some light cleaning and maintenance, setting up/breaking down interpretations, and documentation of daily educational activities.


  • Set up and facilitate hands-on activities/interpretations in the Hall of Human Life for 5-7 hours "on the floor" daily
  • Assist in the training of HHL educators, interfacing with up to 15 other educators daily
  • Assist in cleaning, organization, and upkeep of HHL materials and the 10,000 sq. ft. exhibition space


This position is temporary, part-time, 28 hours/week, from June 9, 2018-September 19, 2018.


Manager, Hall of Human Life


  • Successfully completed a previous Youth Internship at the Museum of Science.
  • Demonstrated comfort communicating STEM concepts to a variety of lay audiences verbally
  • Demonstrated interest in human health and biology education (1, 2)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work in a group setting as part of a multi-faceted team
  • Ability to read, write, understand English; basic math.


Non-Exempt (Hourly).
