School & Community Operations Coordinator

The School and Community Operations Coordinator is responsible for overall management of online resources for schools and community organizations including, assisting educators in signing up at Teacher Partners, pre visit planning including web resources, post booking customer service including financial and data base management (invoicing, payments) The Coordinator also has primary responsibility for data base fidelity using the Tessitura data base for the Museum. In addition, they communicate with and work closely with multiple departments to better promote and support School and Community Programming including Marketing, MarComm, IIT, and Advancement. The Coordinator also supports the educational team and assist in coordination and travel to multiple school and community activities and events.


  • Coordinate the financial and customer service experience after booking for 30 community groups/events and over 160k school age guests who annually attend during school visits.
  • Coordinate the allocation of over $300,000 annually of scholarship funding to qualifying groups.
  • Assist in the coordination of 10 - 20 school programs and family nights/events at the Museum and in the community.
  • Coordinate and maintain data base fidelity for over 500 schools and community groups
  • Assist in school and community programs/events up to 1 day per week as required.
  • Assist in online customer service to 5,000 plus Teacher Partner Program participants.


This position is full-time, 40 hrs/wk, including one weekend day.

  • Post HS course work, technical degree, associate's degree or business certificate.
  • 5 or more years of customer service experience using a CRM system.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to coordinate and efficiently manage multiple- complex data sets and analysis.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills and a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a high performing team.
  • Have a safe driving record so that the Museum's insurance carrier approves you for driving Museum vehicles. This includes being comfortable driving full sized vans in urban, rural and highway settings.


Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
