SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Director, Curriculum Sales is a key leadership role for the Museum's growing curriculum products. They will develop and implement strategic sales plans for curricular projects, including that nationally renowned Engineering is Elementary program, so that the sales team may execute in a rapidly growing sales environment. The Director will oversee the sales processes and team and will provide training for the sales and customer service teams. This person will develop detailed forecasts for sales, manage all sales operations (including scripting, training, lead generation and pipeline management, customer analytics and segmentation) and support strategic direction for the supply chain. The Director will work closely with other senior managers in marketing, curriculum development, and professional development, and operations to create best-in-class service.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire train and supervise a growing team of 3 – 6 sales professionals.
  • Facilitate and guide forecasting and sales strategy for curriculum products.
  • Initiates the planning, development, coordination and execution of a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales for a $10,000,000 national supplemental curriculum product in a compliant manner.


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.


REPORTS TO:

Vice President, Engineering Curriculum & Instruction


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts and additional course work preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years of Sales experience in curriculum, STEM, or K-12 education.
  • Experience selling curricular products in K-12 market.
  • Experience creating and implementing sales plans and strategies.
  • Experience in leading sales teams.
  • Experience in providing sales team training.
  • Experience in sales analytics, reporting and communication of findings.


STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). Commensurate with experience.
