SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Senior Accountant will help oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year end accounting process including the preparation of 20-30 balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Will serve as the primary liaison to several third party vendors overseeing the monthly accounting and reporting to ensure timely financial reporting. Will serve as the primary


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare 20-30 balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Prepare 15-20 journal entries per month.
  • Oversee the monthly accounting and reporting for several business units, generating multi-million annual revenue.
  • Serve as primary back-up for payroll for 300 employees who are paid bi-weekly.
  • Serve as a liaison for 2 large scale vendors


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.


REPORTS TO:

Controller


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree.
  • 2 or more years of accounting, payroll, or non-profit finance related experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize work.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with staff and external contacts to resolve any issues.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and payroll software.


STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). $70,000-$75,000/year.
