SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Proactively provides general administrative and coordination assistance to the Museum's Volunteer Services and Internship Programs, ensuring the smooth operations of the programs and serving as a positive, welcoming Museum representative for all staff, volunteers, and interns. Utilizes databases and other resources to initiate and administer volunteer and intern recruitment, onboarding, and engagement efforts.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the recruitment and record maintenance for ~250 volunteers/year
  • Assist in the recruitment and record maintenance for ~120 interns/year
  • Order and maintain office Coffee Corner serving ~10 volunteers/interns daily


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is part-time, 20 hours/week, working the following schedule:

Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm

Sunday 10:00am-1:00pm

Monday 9:00am-5:00pm

Tuesday 9:00am-5:00pm

The schedule is somewhat flexible, especially around the weekend hours.


REPORTS TO:

Director, Talent Acquisition & Development and Internship & Volunteer Programs Manager


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma.
  • 1 or more years of administrative and customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to effectively self-monitor own work and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated communication skills – both written and oral.


STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly). $18.00-$20.00/hour
