SUMMARY STATEMENT:

IT Business Analysts serves as an expert in both business process and Information Technology, translating business needs to IT solutions. Primary responsibilities include liaising between IT and stakeholders, improving the quality of IT services and analyzing business needs, leveraging the data the IT Division extrapolates while also overseeing the selection and implementation of software programs and hardware resources. Duties encompass working with end users to understand and determine their needs for IT projects, communicating their needs clearly to IT, ensuring a solution is reached that is satisfactory for both end users and IT, working with outside vendors and MOS project managers to find the best solutions possible and make sure the Museum is maximizing its systems, and maintaining documentation of systems so that they can be easily used by both end users and IT. Participate in the Guest Service Program to support the Museum's commitment to providing our guests and colleagues with a welcoming and comfortable environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on 12-15 projects per year
  • Maintain relationships with 10-12 outside vendors
  • Work with internal staff members (approx. 200)
  • Configure and administer 10-12 systems annually
  • Create 20-25 analytics dashboards annually for stakeholder consumption


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.


REPORTS TO:

Vice President, Information Technology


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post high school course work, technical degree, associate's degree, business or vocational certificate.
  • 2 or more years in a business analysis position
  • Direct experience developing business requirements, test plans and implementing systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium to large discovery and implementation projects
  • Experience spotting trends in multiple, complex systems resulting in bug tracking, documentation and training for users
  • Experience running meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience creating detailed reports and dashboards and giving presentations.
  • Competency in MS applications including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely (oral and written communication skills)


STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). $66,000-$71,000/year.
