Visitor Services Specialist (August 2019-January 2020)

Museum of Science, Boston

Innovation and creativity come from the unique perspectives of a diverse staff. We value your perspective.

Visitor Services staff help guests have the best possible experience at the Museum of Science! The Visitor Services Specialist staffs all basic posts within the department: functioning as a member of the Museum's sales and guest service force -- selling tickets and memberships and proactively making suggestions to guests at point of purchase to match guest interests to Museum offerings and meet sales goals, operating the Coat Room and Omni Theater front-of-house and controlling access to venues including Exhibit Halls, Discovery Center, and Butterfly Garden. In addition, the VSS staff posts require more autonomy, fast paced work, and in some cases, and additional training and certification. These include: conducting school group check-ins, operating the Thrill Ride 360 simulators, and operating the 4-D Theater.
